This February there are more than seven dozen calls for submissions. All of these are paying markets, and none charge submission fees. As always, every genre, style, and form is wanted, from short stories to poetry to essays. I post calls for submissions on the first day of every month. 75 Writing Contests in February 2022 - No entry fees

This February there are more than five dozen free writing contests for short fiction, novels, poetry, CNF, nonfiction, and plays. Prizes range from $100,000 to a free writing class. None charge entry fees. Some of these contests have age and geographical restrictions, so read the instructions carefully. If  you want to get a jump on next month's contests go to  Free Contests . 8 Fabulous Writing Conferences in February 2022

February is a short, dark month, but you can liven it up with writing workshops and conferences. This February there are eight writing conferences and workshops covering every aspect of writing, from poetry, to memoir, to how to get published. There is something for everyone.
